
About this role
VHB’s Atlanta office seeks a Civil Site Designer to join its Land Development team. The firm shapes communities across the eastern United States through projects of varying size and scope for commercial, residential, industrial, and hospitality clients.
Designers collaborate with professionals across disciplines on land development work that includes municipal governments, federal agencies such as the National Park Service and Army Corps of Engineers, and State DOTs. The role centers on site civil engineering plans and specifications for complex projects.
Daily tasks involve civil engineering design and permitting for residential, industrial, hospitality, institutional, and commercial sites. Work covers grading and drainage, utilities, roadways, and parking, plus preparation of plans and reports for State and local permitting.

Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-1 years of engineering experience
- AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience preferred
- Competent with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong desire to learn and grow
- Ability to think critically and creatively
