Lumos & Associates seeks a driven Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead and expand the team of design professionals. The role requires a Nevada P.E. license and is based in Reno. It offers the chance to shape the water/wastewater practice across northern Nevada and California.
The Project Manager coordinates project teams and oversees water distribution systems, sewer collection, pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment plants. Responsibilities include hydraulic modeling, master planning efforts, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
This leader contributes to business development by cultivating client relationships and identifying new opportunities. Lumos fosters a collaborative environment where professionals grow, innovate, and lead projects aligned with strategic goals.
The position provides vision to grow the technical focus group in coordination with leadership. Candidates will mentor staff, perform QA/QC reviews, and prepare proposals while advancing their careers in a forward-thinking firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 8+ years of related water/wastewater engineering design and related management experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Nevada required; California P.E. license preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Strong technical background in water and wastewater design and construction management, with ability to serve in responsible charge capacity.
- Experience working in and managing a team of technical staff in multiple disciplines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in public forums.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee, and direct the project design team during the execution of projects in responsible charge.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and delegation of responsibility to staff.
- Provide technical review and QA/QC of projects.
- Serve as the primary contact with clients.
- Provide leadership in the development of new business and the promotion of repeat and referral business.
- Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, and promotional materials.
