About this role

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects under long-term programs with complex governance, multiple work packages, and extended execution horizons. This role is tailored for a senior project leader with deep experience in infrastructure, particularly in energy and related spaces.

You will have overall accountability for successful project delivery from early development through construction support. Your day-to-day will involve leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and risk to ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with GHD's safety, quality, and sustainability standards.

You will act as the primary interface between GHD, owners, and construction partners, ensuring alignment on strategy, scope, resourcing, and delivery approach. The role requires operating effectively in owner-led, compliance-heavy delivery environments with strong interface management.

This position offers the potential to transition into execution-phase leadership as projects are awarded. You will help grow GHD's reputation by acting as a trusted advisor to owners and leading complex delivery efforts through all phases of infrastructure delivery.

Requirements

Deep experience in infrastructure project delivery, especially in energy and related spaces.
Proven ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary teams through all phases of infrastructure delivery.
Strong interface management experience with construction partners and owners.
Ability to operate effectively in owner-led, compliance-heavy delivery environments.
Experience with long-term remediation programs and complex governance structures.
Demonstrated track record of managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk on major projects.
Proposal leadership experience, including EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs for large work packages.

Responsibilities

Act as Project Manager or Project Director on major projects, ensuring safe, on-schedule, within-budget delivery to agreed technical and quality standards.
Lead multiple concurrent bid packages and delivery planning activities across rolling procurement schedules.
Establish and manage project governance, scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change management frameworks.
Serve as primary interface between GHD, owners, and construction partners, ensuring alignment on strategy, scope, resourcing, and delivery approach.
Support clients through procurement activities, including tender documentation, technical evaluations, and construction support.
Provide a single point of accountability for GHD delivery across all assigned remediation projects.
Lead EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs for major work packages.
Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces between project phases and delivery teams.
