About this role
Batson-Cook is seeking a Project Manager I or II to join their Orlando, FL office, with an initial assignment on a multimillion-dollar healthcare project in the Orlando market. In this role, you will drive the change management process, manage cost control through monthly reports and cash flow, and supervise pre-construction services such as purchase orders and subcontracts. You will also assist in the project estimating process, monitor and update the project schedule, and track the critical path to address potential delays.
You will supervise employees, subcontractors, and suppliers by giving direction, monitoring performance, and providing feedback. Communicating with customers, suppliers, and employees to maintain relationships and resolve problems is a key part of the day-to-day work.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 4-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Related experience to the project or market the position will serve
- Experience with change management processes and cost control in construction
- Ability to supervise and manage employees, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Willingness to travel if required
Responsibilities
- Drive and implement the Change Management Process including log, review, notifications, document management, issue subcontractor changes, and status tracking
- Manage Cost Control through monthly project management reports, project cash flow, budget, and owner/subcontractor pay applications
- Provide input and supervise all pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, job cost set-up, and project pre-planning
- Assist in the Project Estimating/Pre-Construction Process including scope review, bid day participation, and generating schematic/design development budgets
- Monitor and update the project schedule routinely, track the critical path, and address potential problems immediately while documenting real and potential delays
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases
- Supervise and manage employees, subcontractors, and suppliers by giving direction, monitoring performance, and providing feedback
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and employees to maintain relationships and ensure needs are met and problems or conflicts are resolved
