Requirements

Knowledge of railroad operations and rail-highway grade crossing safety
Experience managing transportation or infrastructure projects
Understanding of Federal Railroad Administration and state rail regulations
Ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for infrastructure coordination

Responsibilities

Lead railroad coordination for state highway construction projects
Manage railroad-highway safety projects from planning through completion
Coordinate with railroad companies and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
Review and approve design plans and construction documents related to rail crossings
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and compliance with federal and state regulations
Prepare reports and presentations on project status and rail coordination activities
Conduct field inspections to verify railroad safety and construction quality
Resolve conflicts and issues arising between highway and railroad operations
