Pennoni is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for the Transportation Division at the Wyoming Valley, PA office. The role focuses on bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects across urban and rural settings.
Daily work involves managing projects from inception to completion while coordinating with traffic, highway, geotechnical, civil, and environmental teams. Engineers complete designs, load ratings, calculations, plans, and specifications for PennDOT submissions.
The position requires supervising senior and junior engineers and maintaining regular interaction with internal and external clients. Strong command of PennDOT software, design manuals, and standards supports single and multi-span superstructure and substructure work.

Requirements
- PE License for Pennsylvania Required
- 10 or more years of experience
- 4-7 years of management experience
- Proficiency with PennDOT bridge design, analysis and rating software, STAAD, Microsoft, Microstation, and Scheduling Software
- Experience with all design phases of urban and rural bridge repair, rehabilitation, reconstruction and full replacement projects
- Strong working knowledge of PennDOT software, design manuals and standards for steel, prestressed concrete, concrete and timber structures
Responsibilities
- Managing and leading bridge rehabilitation and/or replacement design projects from inception to completion
- Coordinating with transportation engineering disciplines such as traffic, highway, geotechnical, civil and environmental
- Supervising senior and junior level engineers and interacting with internal and external clients
- Completing bridge designs, load ratings, calculations, construction plans, specifications and schedules for project submissions
- Preparing PennDOT Type, Size and Location Submissions, Final Plans Submissions, and Final Plans, Specifications and Estimate packages
