Site Engineer - Services Infrastructure

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV) is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years. The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka), and RAAF Base Wagga. The proposed capital investment of $2 billion will incorporate construction of new messing and living in accommodation, new training facilities, refurbishment of existing buildings, and remedial works to infrastructure services.

We are seeking a Site Engineer – Services Infrastructure to support the delivery of critical Defence services works at Blamey Barracks Kapooka. Working closely with the Project Engineer, this role will assist in managing the installation of key services infrastructure packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, to quality standards and in line with RRJV systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing engineer to gain experience on a tier 1 Defence infrastructure program.

Support the Project Engineer with the delivery of services infrastructure works including HV electrical, potable water, fire water and sewer mains. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely on program and to specification. Assist with resolving design and constructability issues on site, support quality control activities, inspections and documentation, and assist with commissioning and handover activities for completed services packages.

This role is based at Wagga Wagga with relocation assistance available for the successful candidate if required. It is not a DIDO or FIFO role; applicants must be willing to relocate, be an Australian citizen and willing to obtain a security clearance.
