We seek a Structural Engineer within our Private Sector Group (Industrial) to support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm. You'll plan, monitor, and manage structural engineering scope, schedule, and budget for project success. Perform quality reviews of structural designs and resolve issues with designers.
Work alongside industry leaders advancing water science, protecting public health, and building resilient communities. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to integrate requirements into structural designs. Coordinate details between design disciplines and assist field staff during construction.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
- 6-12 years of experience, preferably in the design of water and wastewater treatment structures
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Expert in the application of building codes and code-referenced standards for water treatment and industrial structures in concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of specifications for construction using concrete, masonry and steel
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of presentation of structural design and detailing in construction documents
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of structural design codes and standards
- Skilled in organizing and coordinating work with peers and subordinates
Responsibilities
- Plans, monitors and manages structural engineering scope, schedule and budget for successful project completion
- Performs quality management reviews of structural designs by others and resolves issues
- Prepares estimates for cost and schedule of structural engineering services
- Produces contract documents for construction of structures, including plans and specifications
- Conducts on-site investigations and evaluations of existing structures
- Integrates requirements from other project team members into structural design
- Coordinates details of design between various project design disciplines
- Mentors and trains staff and entry-level structural engineers
