About this role

Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Scaffold E/D Construction Manager to lead the entire erection and dismantling department. This role oversees multiple crews building and dismantling all forms of access solutions across various job sites.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing, hiring, and recruiting labor crews while coaching and mentoring team members. The Construction Manager schedules crews for future work, coordinates timely pickups for dismantles and deliveries for erections, and performs all necessary documentation such as sign-offs, extra work authorizations, JSA's, and safety plans.

This position works in conjunction with the Project Manager on large projects and supervises the erection of multiple forms of scaffolding at multiple locations. The role requires a good working knowledge of scaffolding and OSHA regulations, with competent person training essential for success.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years scaffold experience or equivalent construction experience with degree, or 8 years work experience in a relatable industry
  • Competent person training in scaffolding
  • Good working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to complete paperwork in relation to multiple jobsites
  • Experience assisting with bidding work and scheduling crews
  • Physical ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more
  • Willingness to work indoors/outdoors as required by the job

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire E/D department including multiple crews in building and dismantling all forms of access solutions
  • Manage, hire, and recruit labor crews, including coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of labor crews and multiple jobsite supervising
  • Schedule labor crews for future work
  • Supervise and assist with erection of multiple forms of scaffolding at multiple locations, as well as dismantling and inventorying
  • Coordinate timely pickups for dismantles and deliveries for erections
  • Perform all necessary documentation including sign-offs, extra work authorizations, JSA's, safety plans, and delivery/pickup tickets
  • Oversee proper execution, operation, and oversight in the Foreman Training Program
