Giffels Webster has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join their Oakland County office in Birmingham, Michigan. This role focuses on municipal improvement projects, infrastructure design, and project planning for a diverse range of municipal clients.

As Project Manager, you will work directly with clients, leading the team toward successful project completion. You will lead project engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks, coordinating design with other departments while maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent applicable experience
  • At least 5 years of professional engineering experience
  • Experience in AutoCAD software
  • Experience working with municipal projects
  • PE licensure in Michigan (or seeking to obtain) – preferred
  • Experience in Civil3D – preferred
  • Experience with water and sanitary design – preferred
  • Experience working with MDOT Local Agency Programs – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver civil engineering services effectively
  • Coordinate with managers of other disciplines
  • Facilitate and manage the overall civil engineering services of a project
  • Perform QA/QC on project deliverables
  • Lead staff and oversee their workload
  • Coordinate design with other departments while maintaining client relationships
  • Manage project schedules and prepare monthly invoices
  • Ensure all aspects of projects are properly completed and profitable
