Nycom is hiring an entry-level Project Engineer to join their team specializing in interior construction for laboratory furniture/equipment and custom woodwork. In this role, you will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while satisfying customer expectations. Daily tasks include understanding architectural plans, analyzing project scope, coordinating with vendors, and handling submittals and change orders. You will also perform purchasing, scheduling, and MEP coordination to support project close-out.

Requirements
- Degree from a 4-year college, preferably in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction processes.
- Ability to understand architectural plans, analyze project scope, and manage scheduling and purchasing.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time and priorities on multiple projects.
- Ability to learn and use construction-related software and common office applications.
- Skilled at vendor follow-up, submittals, change orders, and project close-out.
- Ability to effectively build business relationships with architects, facilities personnel, end users, and general contractors.
Responsibilities
- Completing projects on time, within budget, and satisfying customer expectations.
- Communicating accurately and in a timely manner with all departments within Nycom.
- Understanding architectural plans and specifications, and analyzing project scope.
- Performing scheduling, purchasing, vendor follow-up, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinating MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) activities as needed.
- Managing project close-out processes effectively.
- Building solid business relationships with architects, facilities personnel, end users, and general contractors.
- Learning and using construction-related software and digital tools.
