About this role

VHB’s Atlanta office is looking for a Civil Site Designer to join our dynamic and growing Land Development team. Collaborate with talented professionals across diverse disciplines, gaining exposure to projects in size and scope. Clients include leaders in commercial and residential development, industrial and hospitality sectors, municipal governments, and federal agencies like the National Park Service and Army Corps of Engineers.

Develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of complex land development projects. Perform civil engineering design and permitting of residential, industrial, hospitality, institutional, and commercial sites including grading and drainage, utilities, roadways, and parking. Prepare plans and reports in support of State and local permitting.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-1 years of engineering experience
  • AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience (preferred)
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to learn and grow
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
