We are looking for a driven and collaborative Project Manager in Vancouver to join our team committed to leading projects and building relationships across Lower Mainland, BC.
In this role, you will lead the planning, design and construction of linear infrastructure projects including highways, urban roadways, bridges, water and wastewater, and other civil works. You will act as the client's single point of contact, managing all stakeholders and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded on every project.
You will be part of a team of experts who lead project management of infrastructure projects of varying scope and complexity for municipal and provincial clients. Requirements
- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
- 5 - 7 years of project management experience, representing owners in the delivery of linear infrastructure projects
- Demonstrable experience in the initiation, planning and delivery of complex infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of best practice Project Management methodologies and procedures within a PMO environment
- Effective client management and people management skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues
- Detail oriented leader with the ability to work in a process driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
Responsibilities
- Develop strong client relationships and act as the client's single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client's goals and objectives
- Lead programs of work and infrastructure projects, varying in size and scope, including linear infrastructure such as highways, urban roadways, bridges, and water/wastewater systems
- Manage all stakeholders including both clients and consultants, ensuring client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded
- Select and organize project teams, establish levels of authority and lines of communication
- Chair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders
- Control project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and procedures
- Report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports
- Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents
