About this role

As a Structural Engineer - Steel Structure Specialist at Kanadevia Inova, you will design industrial steel structures for waste-to-X technology, transforming discarded materials into valuable energy. Your work supports both tendering and execution phases of these innovative projects.

Your daily responsibilities include preparing static concepts, preliminary and main statics, and creating verifiable static documentation. You will calculate load data, run static assessments of load-bearing systems, and participate in project meetings for quotations and supplier selection.

You will work in a team-oriented atmosphere within an international company, collaborating with the erection department to optimize concepts. The role requires good change-management skills and the ability to work in remote teams, supported by modern infrastructure at an attractive workplace.

Requirements

  • Trained Structural or Civil Engineer with 5/7+ years of experience in structural engineering of steel and/or support structures for power plants.
  • Knowledge of Eurocode and FEM software (Rstab, RFEM, SAP2000); Naviswork and Tekla are a plus.
  • Good change-management skills and ability to work in remote teams.
  • Fluency in English and Italian; any additional language is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating project activities for tendering and execution phases.
  • Familiarity with waste-to-X technology and industrial plant structural design.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare static concepts, preliminary and main statics of industrial steel structures for both tendering and execution phases.
  • Create verifiable static documentation and calculate load data.
  • Run static assessment of load-bearing systems.
  • Participate in project meetings for quotations and supplier selection.
  • Optimize erection concepts in close collaboration with the erection department.
  • Perform structural analysis using FEM software (Rstab, RFEM, SAP2000).
  • Ensure structural designs comply with Eurocode standards.
