As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will support our dynamic infrastructure team in New England, working on projects that shape communities and protect the environment.

In this role, you will serve as an in-house structural engineer, performing design of buildings and non-building structures for a variety of public and private clients. You will provide structural analysis and design using a variety of software tools, and support planning, engineering, and construction phase services for public infrastructure projects throughout New England.

You will work alongside in-house civil and environmental engineers and landscape architects on primarily municipal and industrial projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; must be a PE in Massachusetts or able to obtain by comity within 6 months of hire
  • 5+ years of relevant structural design experience in the types of structures listed below
  • Experience with design of building structures including foundations, water storage tanks/basins, exterior/interior walls, and framing systems
  • Experience with design of non-building structures such as access platforms, vaults, pump stations, marine structures, and retaining structures
  • Experience with foundation design for tanks and other pre-engineered structures

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an in-house Structural Engineer to support planning, engineering, and construction phase services for public infrastructure projects throughout New England
  • Perform design of buildings and non-building structures for a variety of public and private clients
  • Provide structural analysis and design using a variety of software tools
  • Work with in-house civil and environmental engineers and landscape architects on municipal and industrial projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
  • Perform structural calculations for building and non-building structures including foundations, water storage tanks, framing systems, and retaining structures
  • Support building and non-building structure condition assessments and engineering services during construction
