About this role

As a Survey Project Manager at Atwell, you will play a critical role in leading the survey group and managing diverse projects from start to finish. You will work in an entrepreneurial-style environment with the autonomy to drive success in residential, commercial, and renewable energy land development.

Your day-to-day involves collaborating with a team of office and field staff to review survey data using the latest technology. You will analyze site conditions, interpret legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, and easement documents, and supervise survey crews and technicians.

Requirements

  • Professional Survey License (PLS, PSM)
  • 8+ years of survey industry related work experience
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a growing team
  • Prior experience with Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • Advanced understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Construction Staking, Leveling, Traversing, GPS, Data Collections, Legal Descriptions, and Plan interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and lead a team responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans and construction documents.
  • Review project survey data utilizing the latest technology and industry software.
  • Analyze existing site conditions including legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and office staff members.
  • Provide oversight on large-scale ALTA surveys for solar or wind power generation projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments on time and within budget.
  • Attend paid training and development events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor to assist with staff new hire training, career planning, and professional development.
