About this role

Cordoba Corporation seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead bond-eligible capital construction, modernization, and sustainability projects within the Education & Facilities Sector. This role is strictly limited to activities defined under the client's Bond Program, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning. The scope excludes routine maintenance and operational tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing 5 to 10 projects simultaneously, each ranging from $1M to $30M in construction value. The Senior Project Manager ensures alignment with District sustainability goals, follows the program Quality Management System, and tracks project status for timely reporting.

The role involves coordination with District policies, reviewing contract documents, and inspecting construction sites. The manager directs outreach efforts and assists in resolving disputes, working within a team focused on capital improvements. This position is bond-eligible and strictly tied to the client's Bond Program.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale capital improvement programs with exposure to DSA and PMO protocols. Successful project closeout and adherence to legal requirements are critical, providing valuable experience in public infrastructure delivery. The position is limited to bond-eligible activities, ensuring focused professional growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of multiple construction projects.
  • Experience within a large capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant Public Codes.
  • BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field (additional qualifying experience may substitute).
  • Preferred: 2 years’ experience in Educational Facility Construction.
  • Preferred: Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Preferred: Knowledge of all parts of the project life cycle (master planning, design, construction, closeout).
  • Preferred: Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or CHPS.
  • Preferred: Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sustainability projects in accordance with District and program policies.
  • Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and report performance of construction projects.
  • Manage 5 to 10 projects simultaneously, ranging from $1M to $30M each.
  • Ensure all project planning aligns with the District’s sustainability goals and initiatives.
  • Follow and successfully execute the program Quality Management System.
  • Identify risks and create risk mitigation plans.
  • Deliver construction projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Successfully closeout projects in accordance with DSA and PMO/District protocols.
