About this role

We are seeking a Construction Manager – Hybrid to work with our team in our Nashville, TN office. In this role, you will plan and organize the observation and documentation of construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with contract stipulations.

Your day-to-day work involves scheduling and coordinating ongoing work with team members, monitoring contractors' progress against schedule, and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. You will also review payment requests, assist with the RFI process, and participate in change management as needed.

As a Central Coordinator between clients, vendors, and design teams, you will perform daily site visits to provide on-site issue resolution. You will also help ensure that field and design documentation—including drawings, approvals, version control, and revisions—does not impact construction activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field and seven years related experience including personnel supervision.
  • Or with an Associate's degree, fifteen years of related experience.
  • Or without a degree, seventeen years related experience is required.
  • Engineering design experience desirable.
  • Prior experience in airport environment and design-build delivery and construction is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Procore, and other various tools including Bluebeam and scheduling tools (able to interpret and dissect).
  • CCM and/or PMP desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize the observation and documentation of construction projects.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and provide observation of ongoing work to various team members.
  • Monitor contractors' progress against schedule and prepare progress reports, including daily, weekly, and/or monthly reporting.
  • Review payment requests and determine amounts owing to contractor/subcontractor(s) based on on-site observations and contract stipulations.
  • Assist with the RFI process to ensure pertinent field information and conditions are noted to the team for response and closure.
  • Participate in change management and oversee review and compilation of all levels of estimates and associated documentation.
  • Act as a Central Coordinator between clients, vendors, and design teams (internal and subconsultants).
  • Perform daily site visits to provide on-site issue resolution and assist with schedule review, including forecast and weekly look-ahead coordination.
