We are currently seeking a Junior Highway Engineer to join our team in one of our Northeast offices, contributing to transportation and infrastructure projects.
In this role, you will assist in the design and development of highway and roadway projects under the guidance of senior engineers. You will prepare engineering drawings and documents using OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and MicroStation, and perform calculations related to roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and roadside safety.
You will support the production of design deliverables for preliminary, right-of-way, and construction phases, and participate in internal project meetings with other disciplines. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to create resilient, future-ready infrastructure that makes a lasting impact.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in highway or transportation design
- Familiarity with roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and traffic engineering principles
- Experience with design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Familiarity with Massachusetts and/or Connecticut DOT standards is a plus
Responsibilities
