About this role

ERM is hiring a Construction Manager (Early Works Project Manager) to support a key technology client on large-scale data center developments in Reno, Nevada. This onsite role is responsible for overseeing the planning, compliance, and execution of early works construction activities for massive civil and infrastructure scopes.

Day-to-day, you will provide on-site construction management for early works scopes including mass grading, utilities, roads, demolition, and remediation. You will direct and coordinate daily field activities to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery, while managing scope, schedule, and budget with KPI and cost tracking.

You will serve as the single point of contact for early works construction, coordinating contractors, vendors, and stakeholders for aligned execution. The role requires ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental programs, supporting agency coordination, stakeholder engagement, and community interactions.

This is a full-time, limited-term role with a 12-month duration and a possible 6-month renewal. You will drive continuous improvement and problem solving across project phases, identifying and mitigating project risks while developing reporting tools.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of construction management experience or equivalent expertise
  • 7+ years managing complex capital projects and programs
  • Strong experience in extreme mass grading and large-scale civil construction with projects no less than 4 million cubic yards of soil for 10 years
  • Experience with mission-critical facilities or large-scale projects
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Bluebeam (P6 preferred)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and manage cross-functional teams and relationships

Benefits

  • Annual base pay of $97,760.00 – $122,720.00 ($47.00/hr – $59.00/hr USD)
  • Limited-term, non-exempt position with 40 hours per week
  • 12-month duration with possible 6-month renewal
