About this role

This role leads structural analysis and design for modular structures including skids, arrays, containers, pipe racks, and platforms across global hydrogen and energy transition projects. The Senior Civil & Structural Engineer performs in-place, lifting, and transport analysis while ensuring compliance with AISC, Eurocode, IS, ASCE, and PIP standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural analysis using STAAD Pro and Idea Statica, developing foundation loading tables for wind and seismic loads, and preparing bill of materials for structural steel. The role also involves independently reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings for structural steel and foundations.

The engineer works closely with structural designers and multi-disciplinary teams, provides technical guidance to junior engineers, and supports project planning and workload distribution. This position collaborates directly with lead engineers on complex projects and acts as Lead on small to mid-size projects.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring designs follow safety principles and Quality Management System procedures. The position is based in India with exposure to international project standards and collaboration across global engineering functions.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in analysis and design tools including STAAD Pro, Idea Statica, Mathcad, and MS Office
  • Strong proficiency in Excel programs and handling Navisworks
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering concepts for steel, foundations, and modular systems
  • Strong understanding of AISC, ASCE, EU, IS, and PIP codes and standards
  • Ability to read, comment on, and interpret engineering drawings, plant layouts, and equipment layouts
  • Ability to work across engineering organization and functions with minimal direction; exposure to international projects preferred
  • Ability to lead small teams and manage priorities, and troubleshoot design failures to identify and implement solutions

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis of modular skids and structures involved in hydrogen and energy transition projects globally
  • Ensure compliance with codes and standards including AISC, Eurocode, IS, ASCE, PIP, and other international standards and client specifications
  • Perform lifting, in-place, and transport analysis of modular structures
  • Develop foundation loading tables for all basic loads including wind and seismic loads per American, European, and Indian standards
  • Review 3D models and 2D drawings including GA, fabrication drawings, foundation loading, and lifting GA for all project structures
  • Mentor and guide junior level engineers and designers on design intent and constructability
  • Prepare Bill of Materials for structural steel and execute activities in compliance with Quality Management System procedures

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on global hydrogen and energy transition projects
  • Exposure to international codes and standards across American, European, and Indian frameworks
  • Lead small to mid-size projects and mentor junior engineers
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced product engineering environment
