About this role

The Facilities Construction Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of Facilities Construction, overseeing operational budgets, timelines, risks, and daily delivery. This role leads capital projects in support of key regional and system-wide initiatives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a project team, ensuring key deliverables and deadlines are met, and leading contractors and vendors. The manager ensures all external parties embrace the organization's Mission and Core Values while delivering projects as contracted.

This role has direct reports and is responsible for the leadership of both internal teams and third-party vendors. The manager analyzes and negotiates financial terms for vendor services and construction proposals, driving project success through effective supervision.

Requirements

  • 3 years of healthcare construction management.
  • Supervisory experience of both direct reports and/or vendor management, including third-party.
  • Experience with analyzing and negotiating financial terms for vendor services and construction proposals.
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary; must comply with state laws and provide proof of driver license and auto insurance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • Upon hire: Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) (preferred).
  • 6 years of construction management (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Facilities Construction, including operational budget, timeline, risks, and delivery.
  • Deliver capital projects in support of key regional and system-wide initiatives.
  • Lead a project team to ensure key deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Supervise direct reports and manage contractors and vendors to ensure they embrace Mission and Core Values.
  • Analyze and negotiate financial terms for vendor services and construction proposals.
  • Oversee new construction and tenant improvement project leadership.
  • Manage multiple teams of direct reports to achieve project objectives.
