Requirements

Educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering
MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical or Tunnelling Engineering
Working towards professional qualification
Experience acting as Design Lead on tunnelling projects
Knowledge of major civils projects of a tunnelling nature
Ability to manage junior engineers in infrastructure design

Responsibilities

Act as Design Lead for elements of tunnelling projects, liaising directly with clients and design team
Manage junior engineers in the design of infrastructure elements
Provide input to the development of engineering budget and programme
Undertake feasibility studies for tunnelling and underground works
Deliver concept, basic and detailed design for all types of tunnelling
Provide project and construction management services
Conduct risk management for tunnelling and underground structures
