Act as Design Lead for elements of major civils tunnelling projects, liaising directly with clients and wider design team under Technical Lead guidance. Manage junior engineers in design of infrastructure elements. Provide input to engineering budget and programme development to meet requirements.

Requirements

Educated to degree level in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering
MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical or Tunnelling Engineering
Working towards professional qualification
Experience acting as Design Lead on tunnelling projects
Knowledge of major civils projects of a tunnelling nature
Ability to manage junior engineers in infrastructure design

Responsibilities

Undertake feasibility studies for tunnelling and underground works
