In this role, you will take a lead role overseeing the Retrievals East River Project, ensuring all construction activities are effectively planned, coordinated, and executed in line with project objectives and regulatory requirements. You'll act as a key interface between project teams, contractors, and senior leadership, providing technical leadership and operational oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Experience working on construction projects within a highly regulated environment.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent recognised health & safety qualification).
  • NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management (or equivalent).
  • CSCS Manager Health & Safety Test (Black Card).
  • Member of a professional body preferred (CIOB).
  • NEBOSH qualification.
  • Strong understanding of safety culture, regulatory compliance, and CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Retrievals East River Project, ensuring all construction activities are effectively planned, coordinated, and executed in line with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and nuclear safety standards.
  • Act as a key interface between project teams, contractors, and senior leadership, providing technical leadership and operational oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on safety, quality, cost control, and programme adherence to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
  • Provide governance and ensure compliance with CDM requirements and nuclear safety standards within a highly regulated environment.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities to meet project milestones and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support the development and implementation of construction methodologies and work packages for decommissioning projects.
