We are actively looking for a Senior Marine Structural Engineer to join our Tampa office, with 10-15 years of experience from conceptual layout through the design process.

As part of the Structural Group, the Senior Engineer will perform project management and design for waterfront structures and marine infrastructure projects, including marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads, breakwater and shore protection structures. This role leads and manages projects from near-shore platforms to container terminals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
  • 10-15 years of experience in shoreline marine structural engineering design and project management with a consulting firm or waterfront, port, or marine related client
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Florida or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire
  • DOD marine structural engineering project experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and perform on waterfront projects including near-shore platforms, trestles, wharves, piers, docks, bulkheads, mooring and breasting structures, and liquid, gas, container, and bulk terminals.
  • Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, timber, and other materials.
  • Perform inspections, author assessment reports, and develop rehabilitation plans for waterfront structures.
  • Manage marine structural projects and teams.
  • Develop construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and structural calculation packages.
  • Apply knowledge of shoreline protection materials and breakwater design.
  • Assist with mentoring and developing younger engineers.
