Airdrie, CA · Full-time · C$85,000 – C$110,000

About this role

This role applies theoretical and practical engineering principles to contribute to Propak's operations through cross-functional collaboration. The Civil/Structural Engineer ensures designs and installations comply with codes, standards, and client specifications.

Day-to-day responsibilities include structural design of modular steel packages, pipe racks, and pipe supports, as well as concrete and steel foundations for structures, compressor packages, and tanks. The engineer also performs grading and drainage engineering, including ditch, culvert, and pond sizing, and analyzes soil reports for foundation selection.

The position works closely with cross-functional engineering teams including Process, Mechanical Drafting, and Project Engineering, and participates in 3D model reviews. The engineer liaises with other disciplines, checks and approves structural steel and civil drawings, and assists with resolving technical issues in the shop or field.

This role offers the opportunity to grow within an EPC and EPCM work environment, applying expertise in Canadian and US building codes. The engineer will prepare documents and reports while contributing to the success of modular oil and gas process facility projects.
