This role involves coordinating manpower, monitoring progress, and supporting quality checks for successful project delivery. The position centers on supervising mechanical works at construction sites including equipment installation, alignment, and testing.

Daily duties include supervising equipment installation while monitoring progress, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization. Site inspections verify compliance with quality standards, approved drawings, and safety regulations throughout the project.

Coordination with engineers from various disciplines resolves technical issues and implements design changes. Work occurs within multicultural teams on Data Centre and Telecom projects requiring strong site coordination and modular construction knowledge.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10 years of relevant experience across Data Centre / Telecom projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation.
  • Understanding of modular construction will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
  • Experience in site coordination and working with multicultural teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and site compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical works at the construction site, including equipment installation, alignment, and testing.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor daily progress, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, punch lists, and assist in material tracking.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Support pre-commissioning and testing activities as required.
