About this role
At Aurecon, you will contribute to delivering infrastructure projects that strengthen communities and create a sustainable future. As a Drainage Engineer, you will design drainage and waterways for some of Western Australia's most complex road and infrastructure projects, from new interchanges to resilient transport corridors.
Day-to-day, you will support the design of road and transport drainage systems, including pits, pipes, open channels, culverts, and WSUD assets. You will undertake hydrological and hydraulic assessments from concept through detailed design and construction support, using tools like 12d, HEC-RAS, DRAINS, ORD, or TUFLOW.
You will work within the Transport, Land & Water team, collaborating with disciplines such as roads, bridges, geotechnical, environmental, and digital to integrate drainage outcomes into broader project design. Stakeholder liaison with Main Roads WA, Public Transport Authority, local government, and utility agencies will be key to achieving approvals and meeting standards.
Aurecon supports your growth with flexible and hybrid working arrangements, tailored learning opportunities, and technical communities that connect you with specialists across Australia, New Zealand, and globally. You will be part of a team recognised for innovation, sustainability, and inclusive culture through multiple external awards.
