Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Drainage Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will complete a wide variety of engineering assignments, applying advanced engineering techniques and analyses within the drainage discipline. Focus on civil and transport infrastructure drainage design, including detailed analysis and review of hydrological and hydraulic models. Provide technical design expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems, piped networks, and major transverse drainage structures. Conduct hydraulic and system design in complex environments to meet site-specific requirements. Supervise and mentor intermediate and junior engineers while coordinating with CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling teams. Lead projects with high responsibility, building strong client relationships and obtaining design approvals.
Apply knowledge of stormwater management processes, innovative ideas, technology, and value engineering solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic and/or Environmental Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years experience in water engineering, including stormwater drainage design in civil and transport projects
- Minimum 6 years of Qatar/GCC experience preferred
- Sound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics
- Demonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software: SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
- Experience with Infoworks ICM, 1D/2D compulsory
- Excellent command of GIS and CAD tools: ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation
- Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS)
