About this role
Markon is seeking a senior-level Project Manager to serve as Onsite Owner's Representative for complex construction, tenant fit-outs, and infrastructure projects at the Mark Center. Supporting FOSD under WHS, act directly on behalf of the government client to oversee contractors, A/E firms, and project execution. This highly active role protects owner's interests in a DoD facility.
Primarily field-based in a premier DoD ancillary facility, drive projects through their entire lifecycle and deliver high-quality facility modifications in an occupied federal building. Lead project development, planning, and estimating while gathering requirements for technical Statements of Work. Provide expertise in DoD PPBE process for requirements and prioritization.
Perform rigorous technical reviews of construction documents and A/E designs for constructability and compliance. Conduct active QA of contracted work in the field, evaluating site conditions and tracking progress. Manage IPTs and coordinate with contractors, consultants, tenants, and officials for smooth delivery.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a U.S. Public Trust background check
- Minimum 15 years of related work experience in facility management and construction, at least 5 years strictly technical
- BS degree or higher in Construction Management, Physics, Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Or 20 years dedicated construction-related technical experience with active licensure as Master Craftsman, Journeyman, or General Contractor
- Energetic self-starter capable of operating independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance; highly accountable for quality deliverables

- Manage Integrated Product Teams and coordinate with contractors, consultants, tenants, and government officials
- Assist contract manager in supervision, guidance, and mentorship of 2–3 junior project managers
