About this role

ProSidian Consulting seeks a Geotechnical Engineer for Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering on an Exempt 1099 Contract basis. Support Pasco County Board of County Commissioners in enhancing performance, resilience, and sustainability of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems. Provide tailored solutions through engineering, planning, environmental, and digital transformation services.

Focus on professional services engagement for Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Sector clients like PCBOCC. Deliver geotechnical expertise as a Technical Element in Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering. Work generally located in CONUS - Pasco County across the Southeast Region.

Join multidisciplinary teams of Global Professionals completing engagements for government agencies. Target drivers of economic profit including growth, margin, and efficiency at intersections of assets, processes, policies, and people. Align services across enterprise for public and private sector clients.

Opportunity as Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position with potential conversion to Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2. Help forward-thinking clients solve problems and improve operations. Contribute to comprehensive environmental services solutions in utility infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • PE preferred
  • 5–10 years in geotechnical engineering
  • Experience in soil mechanics and foundation engineering
  • Relevant Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Sector experience
  • Functional and technical expertise in utility infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of environmental services for water and wastewater systems

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute geotechnical investigations for utility infrastructure projects
  • Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to inform foundation and structural designs
  • Prepare technical geotechnical reports and provide recommendations for construction
  • Evaluate soil mechanics properties for foundation engineering applications
  • Conduct field explorations including borings and sampling for infrastructure sites
  • Assess groundwater conditions and stability risks for utility systems
  • Recommend foundation types and earthwork methods for water and wastewater projects
