About this role

Duratec, an ASX-listed contractor with a multi-state presence, is seeking a Project Manager for landmark Northern Territory projects in Darwin. You will oversee complex construction activities across Defence, Marine, Industrial, and Commercial sectors, ensuring successful delivery from planning through to handover.

Day-to-day, you will manage program, cost, risk, and resource allocation while overseeing subcontractor performance on scope, programme, commercial outcomes, and quality. You will lead site teams, engineers, and supervisors, and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Working within a solutions-driven business specializing in the protection, remediation, and enhancement of steel and concrete structures, you will be part of a collaborative environment focused on extending the life of the built environment. The company operates across 19 locations in Australia with a workforce of approximately 1,200 people.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager on site-based construction projects
  • Proven track record delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget
  • Commercially astute with contract and subcontract management experience
  • Leadership capability with ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • White Card and current Driver’s Licence
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle from planning through to practical completion and handover
  • Manage programme, cost, risk, and resource allocation to meet project objectives
  • Oversee subcontractor performance including scope, programme, commercial outcomes, and quality
  • Provide leadership to site teams, engineers, and supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems
  • Manage procurement strategy, contract administration, and variations
  • Drive reporting, forecasting, and cost control including monthly progress claims and budgets
  • Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
