About this role
This role is a high level specialist focused on project management within an office or market. It centers on team leadership, mentoring people, advancing work quality, integrating design services, managing processes, and delivering solid financial performance.
Lead partnering relationships with clients to build positive relations and communicate design and construction issues clearly. Play a lead role in key meetings while managing contractual obligations, scope approvals, and payables for services rendered.
Lead project teams to develop goals and work plans that achieve quality, budget, schedule, and profitability objectives. Facilitate plans using MS Project and Deltek while maintaining project records and ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Implement the CannonDesign Method with best practices and technology to drive productivity. Provide mentoring and feedback to team members while monitoring progress and enforcing QA/QC process standards for technical quality.
Requirements
- Proficiency with MS Project and Deltek Project Planning tools
- Strong understanding of contractual obligations, scope management, and client payables processes
- Experience leading project teams and facilitating work plans, budgets, and schedules
- Ability to implement standardized methods, best practices, and QA/QC processes
- Skills in risk mitigation, compliance, and maintaining detailed project documentation
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and nurture successful partnering relationships with clients leading to future opportunities
- Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout the project life with clear communication
- Participate in Business Development activity to help grow top line with Marketing and Office Leadership
- Lead project teams to develop goals and work plans achieving quality, budget, schedule and profitability objectives
- Facilitate development and management of the work plan, budget, and schedule using MS Project and Deltek
- Manage design and documentation process and implementation during the construction phase
- Develop risk management plans, mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and maintain project records
- Provide leadership, constructive feedback and mentoring while implementing QA/QC processes
