In this role, you will work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments. You will perform geotechnical analysis, design calculations, sketches, and reports, while also coordinating field investigations and construction activities like grouting and deep foundations.

As part of BV Operations, your skills will align to projects across our three market sectors: Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. You will be engaged with exciting projects from small community improvements to grand-scale Mega Projects globally.

Requirements

  • Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls
  • Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design principles for infrastructure projects
  • Ability to use geotechnical software such as gINT, PLAXIS, or LPILE
  • Experience managing field investigations and construction observation
  • Understanding of construction methods for deep foundations and ground improvement
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for field assignments

Responsibilities

  • Work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments
  • Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and prepare geotechnical design reports
  • Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations
  • Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls
  • Focus on coordinating internal teams and resources while understanding client interests and needs
  • Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects including power generation, substations, transmission lines, dams, canals, flood control, and pipelines
  • Plan, design, and oversee geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field
  • Travel on field assignments as required, with estimated field time between 20% and 40%
