About this role

Atwell, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in residential and commercial land development. This role manages diverse projects varying in size, scope, and complexity while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project teams in preparing and delivering preliminary and final site plans, engineering designs, and construction documents. You will manage project schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

This position provides the chance to mentor junior engineers and designers while coordinating construction services and permit applications. You will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
  • Strong knowledge of site development design, permitting, and construction documentation.
  • Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering analysis software.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic studies, stormwater management, and utility design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in the preparation, review, and delivery of preliminary and final site plans, engineering designs, and construction documents.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and project analyses to support successful project execution.
  • Review and evaluate survey data, existing site conditions, and development constraints including legal descriptions and ALTA surveys.
  • Oversee engineering analyses and design documentation such as hydrologic and hydraulic studies, stormwater reports, and grading plans.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to junior engineers and designers.
  • Coordinate construction-related services including permit applications, quantity estimates, and construction documentation.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software to prepare designs and deliverables efficiently and accurately.
