As a Senior Project Manager, you will join a growing team of highly skilled professionals in a dynamic, hybrid environment based in our Walnut Creek, Oakland, or San Jose office.

In this leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day management of multi-disciplinary project teams with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety. You will lead large, complex or high-risk projects with multiple integrated services, ensuring they meet project, client, and regulatory objectives.

You'll collaborate closely with project teams, support field teams, and regularly communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, and regulators. The role also involves directing, coaching, and supporting staff to develop their skills and deliver comprehensive technical reports and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • 15-20+ years of related local Bay Area consulting experience including direct project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently lead project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
  • Proficient computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Demonstrated technical competence and knowledge of codes, regulations, and professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day management of multi-disciplinary project teams with a focus on project delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
  • Lead large, complex, or high-risk projects with multiple integrated services to meet project, client, and regulatory objectives.
  • Hold primary responsibility for all aspects of the project life cycle including cost estimating, proposal preparation, scheduling, subcontracting, resourcing, project planning, execution, document preparation and review, and financial management.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, supporting field teams, providing oversight, and observing health and safety processes and procedures.
  • Regularly direct, coach, and support staff to ensure high-quality project execution, focusing on developing team skills for professional growth.
  • Plan and manage site characterization programs and coordinate field investigations.
  • Lead project teams in the technical evaluation and interpretation of site characterization and geologic data, and develop conceptual site models.
  • Plan all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols and demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.
