You will prepare and submit compliance reports and ensure all environmental permits are renewed timely. You serve as the primary contact with regulatory agencies, accompanying representatives during site inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Environmental Engineering or a related science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a regulatory, enforcement, or industrial/environmental setting.
  • Knowledge of CAA, CWA, Title V, and RCRA regulations.
  • Knowledge of MACT, NSPS, NPDES, and RCRA regulations affecting the cement industry.
  • Familiarity with cement manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good organizational skills, human relations, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine environmental sampling, conduct required inspections, and maintain necessary records.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports on a monthly basis, and prepare and maintain annual environmental operating plans.
  • Ensure all environmental permits and certificates are renewed in a timely manner and kept up-to-date with facility changes.
  • Serve as primary contact with regulatory agencies and accompany regulatory representatives during site inspections.
  • Stay educated on environmental regulatory changes that may impact company operations and communicate those changes to management.
  • Pursue self-improvement activities, especially in new developments in environmental equipment and regulations.
  • Provide training for the environmental program, including coordinating the environmental management team.
