RESPEC seeks an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead and oversee projects from conception to completion. This role is based in Colorado Springs, CO, and focuses on delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth engineering analyses, feasibility studies, and intricate design work for water and wastewater systems. You will navigate permitting processes and manage construction activities, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Must be a Professional Licensed Engineer (PE) in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in successfully managing water and wastewater engineering projects
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and project management
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
  • Strong comprehension of water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment processes
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical information
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, multitask effectively, and manage multiple projects concurrently

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and oversee water and wastewater projects from conception to successful completion, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to define project objectives, requirements, and technical specifications
  • Conduct in-depth engineering analyses, feasibility studies, and intricate design work for water and wastewater systems
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and other project deliverables to ensure the highest quality
  • Navigate permitting processes and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations for projects
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential data and provide technical guidance during construction phases
  • Manage construction activities, meticulously track project documentation, and adeptly address any design modifications or issues that arise
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continually enhance project outcomes
