About this role

Overall management of construction project resulting in successful project completion. This senior role oversees multiple or large complex projects from preconstruction through close-out.

Estimate and establish budgets and contract price while negotiating cost-effective subcontract and material purchases. Set up job procedures to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material delivery.

Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and implement procedures. Develop and maintain good relationships with Owner, Architect and Subcontractors while managing and training the project team.

Direct preconstruction services, support estimating staff and assist with business development. Complete all job close-out procedures and conduct warranty follow-up to finish with full or enhanced fee.

Requirements

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Field construction management experience (8-10 years, including supervisory skills)
  • Leadership ability and problem-solving ability with strong sense of urgency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)
