About this role
Woodard & Curran is a national engineering, science, and operations firm with a simple vision for clean water, safe environments, and healthy communities. As an employee-owned company, we are seeking a full-time O&M Project Manager, ideally dual-certified with a Florida Class A Water treatment certification, to manage day-to-day operational activities for the City of Ft. Lauderdale.
Each day presents different challenges and learning opportunities as you work toward 100% compliance through daily process monitoring and a comprehensive preventative maintenance system. The Project Manager will coordinate and communicate with operations staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure effective system operation and optimization.
You will also implement and manage an innovative asset management program, administer routine and capital repair and replacement projects, and lead emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, and all alarm events. Work is performed following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures, with participation in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend shifts.

Requirements
- Ideally dual-certified with a Florida Class A Water treatment certification.
- Experience managing daily operational activities at a water treatment facility.
- Ability to perform daily process monitoring and implement preventative maintenance systems.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to work outside normal workday hours and in inclement weather as needed.
- Commitment to following established safety, operating, and emergency response procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational activities and be a steward of the operations team serving the City of Ft. Lauderdale.
- Coordinate and communicate with operations staff, client representatives, contractors, and assigned engineering firms.
- Work with all parties to ensure effective system operation and optimization.
- Implement and manage an innovative asset management program.
- Administer and implement routine and capital repair and replacement projects.
- Lead emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, and all alarm events.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours, including weekends.
- Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
