We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to serve as Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer. The role centers on leading planning and design for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure including treatment facilities, pump stations, storage systems, and pipelines across multiple project phases.
Daily work involves preparing engineering reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates while coordinating with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal multidisciplinary teams. The position also includes managing projects through design, bidding, and construction with emphasis on quality control and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Strong experience with municipal water and wastewater systems design.
- Proven ability to prepare plans, specifications, engineering reports, and design calculations.
- Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, storage systems, pipelines, and related utility improvements.
- Prepare or oversee engineering reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, and cost estimates.
- Manage projects through design and provide support during bidding and construction phases.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide technical leadership, design oversight, and quality control for project deliverables.
- Support permitting and regulatory compliance for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff and contribute to team development.
- Participate in client meetings, proposal development, and business development efforts.
