Launch your career in wastewater modelling and engineering with Tetra Tech. Join the Water Consultancy team in London, supporting projects from local investigations to multi-million-pound infrastructure schemes. You will handle large datasets and develop hydraulic and statistical models.

You will interpret large datasets, produce factual and interpretative reports, and contribute to client and stakeholder engagement. In the short term, you will deliver live projects by producing high-quality data outputs and model results. Over time, you will take on greater responsibility for model development and client communication.

Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and modellers. Opportunities for site surveys and field data collection are available. The role is based in London with hybrid working, typically two to three days per week in the office.

Longer term, this role offers clear pathways to chartership and senior technical positions. You will gain exposure to significant regional and national programmes that support your professional growth, with relevant training to build your skills.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or a closely related discipline
  • Ability to handle, clean and interpret large datasets accurately
  • Understanding of hydraulic and wastewater modelling principles
  • Ability to prepare concise technical reports and explain findings clearly
  • Confident use of Excel and familiarity with GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach with willingness to learn and develop professionally
