About this role
WSP Australia is seeking passionate Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists to join their industry-leading Geotechnical and Tunnels team in Perth. You will contribute to landmark projects across transport, energy, water, mining, property, and government sectors, addressing the evolving challenges of earth, environment, and energy.
In this role, you will provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues, manage and deliver field investigations, and produce geotechnical reports for diverse projects. You will also participate in industry groups and provide safety leadership by identifying and eliminating high-priority hazards.
You will work alongside a 400+ strong national team of geotechnical, geological, and tunneling consultants, with the WA team being the state's largest. You will collaborate with in-house Perth-based capabilities in geophysics, environmental services, and geotechnical laboratories, gaining access to both local expertise and major multi-disciplinary projects.

Requirements
- Passion for technical excellence and innovation in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology
- Ability to provide strong technical guidance and oversight to projects within a local team
- Experience deploying technical expertise across transport, energy, water, mining, property, or government sectors
- Commitment to offering best practice geotechnical consulting services to clients
- Ability to work on both geotechnically led projects and major multi-disciplinary projects
- Willingness to collaborate with in-house capabilities in geophysics, environmental services, and geotechnical laboratories
Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff, delivering best practice consulting services
- Manage and deliver geotechnical field investigations across a wide range of sectors
- Participate in industry groups to maintain a high industry profile
- Manage, analyse, and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects
- Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating or eliminating high-priority safety hazards
- Participate in training activities, mentor, and transfer knowledge to other geotechnical engineers
- Assist in bidding and delivering successful projects alongside mid-level and senior geotechnical professionals
