About this role

As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be the framework senior leadership team member driving efficient delivery during the Pre-Construction phase of our strategic delivery partner framework for Southern Water. You will be accountable for leading Design, Procurement and Proposals, ensuring timely delivery of stage 1 submissions that provide affordable solutions aligned to SWS budgets.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Design and innovation, procurement and proposals leads, ensuring performance meets the needs of the framework. You will also serve as the conduit for regular effective communications between pre-Construction and project management teams, setting up each project for successful delivery.

A key area of this role will be to drive the Collaborative Target Cost agreement process, with support from the wider leadership team, ensuring submissions are complete and to a high standard. You will cover both clean water and wastewater portfolios, working on site 3 days per week and 2 days hybrid from Falmer, East Sussex.

Requirements

Demonstrable leadership skills: trusted, focused and collaborative
Excellent understanding of the pre-construction process, interpreting client requirements and converting them to outstanding project solutions
Track record of work winning with knowledge of multiple sectors including public and private
Strong knowledge of NEC contracting
Experience in bid coordination
Understanding of regulated clients
Knowledge and experience of project management techniques and the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Strong and resilient negotiating skills
Full UK driving licence

Cover both clean water and wastewater portfolios
