About this role
AECOM is seeking an Intermediate Civil/Environmental Engineer to join the Western Canada Environment team. This role offers hybrid work options from the Edmonton AB office and involves a blend of project management, technical oversight, client liaison, and staff mentoring.
The successful candidate will support major northern mine remediation, solid waste management, and civil design projects. Responsibilities include developing technical solutions for civil grading, site remediation, and solid waste management designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) or eligibility for registration.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil grading designs.
- Experience supervising and directing modelling and taking professional responsibility for designs.
- Strong technical background in remediation, solid waste management, and civil design.
- Project management experience including scope, schedule, and cost control.
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, specifications, and regulatory submittals.
- Team-oriented professional with a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions for civil grading, site remediation, and solid waste management designs.
- Work with design teams to develop designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D, supervising and directing modelling.
- Prepare documentation including technical letters, memorandums, reports, drawings, and detailed design packages.
- Prepare project specifications, contract documents, construction packages, and cost estimates.
- Prepare regulatory submittal documents for development.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and cost using systems and reporting.
- Write proposals, scope jobs, and develop project plans.
- Exhibit personal safety leadership in oversight and execution of all work.
