About this role
Veolia UK is seeking an enthusiastic Bid Project Manager to join our Public Sector Business Development team in London. This role is central to our ambition of Ecological Transformation, helping the world take better care of its resources.
You will understand client needs and key deliverables, working with the Business Development Manager and project team to develop technical, legal, and financial solutions. You will write high-quality Method Statements detailing the bid's technical solution and manage the preparation of presentations for client meetings.
Collaboration is key: you will work with operational and business support functions to ensure buy-in and develop robust proposals. You will also manage liaison with Local Authorities during the clarification process and lead on parts of the tender solution.
This role offers the chance to learn and progress within a high-performing Business Development team delivering profitable growth. You will produce a high standard of work in terms of accuracy and consistency while providing project management and general support as needed.
Requirements
- Well-organised individual with a very high standard of written English.
- Strong IT ability with advanced level in Word, proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Google Suite is ideal.
- Ambitious individual wishing to learn and progress within a high-performing Business Development team.
- Previous experience in bid management or project management within a public sector or environmental services context.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Understand the client’s needs and requirements, key deliverables on the bid, and any considerations for Veolia in the development of the bid.
- Work with the Business Development Manager and project team to develop solutions covering technical, legal, and financial aspects.
- Collaborate with operational and business support functions to ensure buy-in and development of robust proposals.
- Ensure that tenders are submitted on time and in line with client requirements.
- Write high-quality, detailed Method Statements detailing the bid’s technical solution.
- Manage the preparation of presentations and attend all client meetings, administering the procurement process and project plan.
- Manage liaison with Local Authorities during the clarification process and lead on parts of the tender solution.
- Produce a high standard of work in terms of accuracy and consistency, and provide other project management and general support as needed.
