About this role

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our growing Environment & Sustainability team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This replacement position supports a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, master planning, environmental, and development projects.

You will prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), and compliance documentation. Day-to-day work includes supporting environmental permitting with NCEC and MWAN, conducting assessments for air quality, water quality, soil, noise, and vibration, and utilizing GIS tools to identify environmental constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant environmental consulting or infrastructure project experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EIA, environmental permitting, compliance, and environmental management systems.
  • Experience working with Saudi environmental regulations and NCEC requirements.
  • GIS proficiency and strong technical report writing skills.
  • Solid waste management experience is advantageous.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration preferred.
  • IEMA or another recognized environmental accreditation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), and environmental compliance documentation.
  • Support environmental permitting and licensing activities with NCEC, MWAN, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with NCEC regulations, IFC standards, and international environmental best practices.
  • Conduct environmental assessments, risk studies, and monitoring related to air quality, water quality, soil, noise, and vibration.
  • Support waste management and sustainability initiatives across project lifecycles.
  • Utilize GIS tools to identify environmental constraints and support project planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental requirements into project design and delivery.
  • Support proposal preparation and business development activities.
