About this role

Here within the @one Alliance, we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of eight partner companies delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. We are gearing up for our most exciting Asset Management Period yet, AMP 8, which will see us deliver a programme of work larger than ever before.

As our new Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee projects to ensure they are delivered on time, safely, and with sustainability principles embedded. You will attend site to gather information and translate it into value-added reports and presentations that drive successful delivery milestones.

You will coordinate contract requirements relating to design, construction, and commissioning, always meeting and exceeding health and safety standards. You will provide a proactive and trusted resource to the Project Delivery Manager, supporting effective close-out of all projects to meet client requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering projects or coordinating complex tasks and activities to support planned outcomes
  • Ability and desire to travel across the region as required to support projects
  • Construction industry experience is advantageous, with ambitions to develop a career in the commercial field
  • Ability to establish and sustain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, working in a collaborative and honest fashion
  • Confidence in being proactive and taking accountability to drive performance
  • Capable on IT programmes and open to new technology
  • Demonstrates resilience and maintains energy and focus when under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure projects are on track in terms of time and budget while proactively managing risks and opportunities
  • Attend site to gather information and translate into value-added reports and presentations that drive successful meeting of project delivery milestones
  • Champion sustainability principles in design and construction, focusing on minimising energy use, carbon emissions, and waste materials reduction
  • Coordinate and manage contract requirements relating to design solutions, construction, and commissioning, ensuring health and safety standards are met and exceeded
  • Provide a proactive and trusted resource to the Project Delivery Manager to support effective and efficient close-out of all projects
  • Strive to continuously improve project delivery by closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand challenges and implement solutions
