Senior Traffic Engineer

In the ever-evolving realm of traffic engineering, from V2I to P2P to ATSPM, transformative changes are taking place. BETA stands at the forefront and seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer skilled in signal and signal system design. This role involves performing and overseeing technical designs and developing projects from conceptual to final stages.

The position focuses on in-depth research, innovative design, and practical application of latest traffic technologies like adaptive signal systems, Peer to Peer (P2P) operation, ATSPM, and V2I solutions. Daily tasks include detailed traffic analysis, signal design, modeling, simulation, intersection geometrics, complete streets, and temporary traffic controls. Oversee preparation of contract plans and documents while managing traffic projects.

Provide responsive client service through strong communication, mentor junior staff, attend client and public meetings, and collaborate across disciplines and office locations. Preferred location is Hartford, CT office with flexibility for other locations. BETA offers a hybrid schedule allowing up to 2 days remote per week.
