Our Transport, Land & Water team partners with government and private clients on projects from local intersection upgrades to major freeway interchanges, active transport corridors and precinct-scale developments across WA and beyond. As Lead Transport Engineer, you’ll serve as a key technical and delivery leader in the WA traffic team. You will lead planning, analysis and design of traffic solutions for road, intersection, active transport and precinct projects. Manage traffic studies, impact assessments and microsimulation modelling using tools like SIDRA, Aimsun or VISSIM.
Provide trusted advice to clients including transport agencies, local governments and private developers through workshops and presentations. Coordinate traffic inputs into multi-disciplinary projects with road design, civil, structures, planning and digital teams. Oversee technical quality, design standards and assurance from concept to construction support.
Lead and mentor a small team of traffic/transport engineers to grow their technical and consulting skills. Contribute to bids, client relationship development and new service offerings like digital tools and automation in traffic workflows. Bring passion for re-imagining how people and goods move through cities and regions collaboratively.
Requirements
- Degree qualifications in civil / transport engineering or a related discipline
- Significant experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, ideally gained on Australian or New Zealand projects
- Strong skills in traffic analysis
- Proficiency in traffic studies, impact assessments and microsimulation modelling (e.g. SIDRA, Aimsun / VISSIM)
- Experience providing advice to transport agencies, local governments and private developers
- Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including road design, civil and planning
- Leadership experience mentoring traffic/transport engineers

- Lead and mentor a small team of traffic/transport engineers, helping them grow their technical capability and consulting skills
- Contribute to bids, client relationship development and new service offerings, including digital tools and automation in traffic engineering workflows
